My Lift Squad

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 5, 2026

Introduction

My Lift Squad is built and maintained by Paul Walsh. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Information I Do Not Collect

I do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The app does not collect:

Data Stored Locally On Your Device

The app stores the following data only on your device, using Android's local Room database and SharedPreferences:

This data never leaves your device except as described below.

Third-Party Data: OpenPowerlifting

The app fetches athlete and competition data from OpenPowerlifting, a publicly available database of powerlifting competition results. When you search for or view an athlete, a request is made to the OpenPowerlifting API. OpenPowerlifting's own privacy policy governs their data handling.

In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play Billing. I do not receive, store, or process any payment information. Google's privacy policy governs all payment handling. Upon a successful purchase, a flag is stored locally on your device.

Backup & Restore

The backup feature exports your squads and athletes as a JSON file to a location you choose on your device. This file is entirely under your control. I do not have access to it.

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, security is governed by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.).

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
